About Akia

Meet Akia

Born and raised in Atlanta, Ga to a single mother, Akia Shaw learned early on how to hustle and grind by all means. She started working at the tender age of 10 years old at her Grandfather’s Body Shop, Shaw Sales and Service, a staple in the East Point community for over 50 years. Her Grandfather molded her into the hard-working, no-nonsense, serial entrepreneur that she is today.

Akia has always had a passion for helping people and fighting for others’ rights from a young age. After returning from Florida A&M University, Akia dove headfirst into the finance industry. After quickly moving through the ranks, Akia was quickly recognized as the youngest, Black, female manager within her associated financial institution. She began to invest in Real Estate part-time while educating those around her in the realm of financial literacy full-time. Akia partnered with the Fulton County Board of Education and was voted the Volunteer of the Year in 2018. Akia made it her business to teach her community financial literacy starting with grade school during the day, and their parents and guardians at night. Akia desired to provide a sense of hope and freedom through various avenues, one specifically being Real Estate.

After passing the state exam on the first try, Akia took the leap of faith, quit her great or pirate job, and start The Skye Group. After selling almost $7M within 9 months of her Real Estate career, Akia was recognized as a Top 5% Producers by the Association of Realtors and the #5 Individual Agent by the Largest Brokerage in the world, Keller Williams. Akia has now grown a thriving Real Estate Team and has begun to teach others how to master their craft with her consulting/coaching business, The Lucrative Realtor.

Akia is the mother of a beautiful teen, Xian Skye, that is currently her marketing executive and future mogul of The Skye Group. The Skye Group’s mission is to break generational curses by creating generational wealth through Real Estate.

Akia will not stop until her God-given vision is fulfilled.
